About NEN Connect

Since 2007 NEN Connect is the online program from NEN to use and manage standards.

NEN is a professional non-profit business organization and supports the normalization process in the Netherlands. When a party turns to NEN to come an agreement NEN gets to work. NEN will subsequently investigate and, depending on the outcome, start a project. A broad base of support is prerequisite. Agreements are effected based on consensus and are recorded in a document. This is usually a standard. Agreements recorded in a NEN standard cannot conflict with other valid NEN standards. NEN standards together form a cohesive entity. NEN manages over 31.000 standards. Those are the international (ISO, IEC), European (EN) and national (NEN) standards accepted in The Netherlands. In total over 800 standards committees are active, with in total over 5.000 standard committee members.
